Your Role: This position is responsible for driver assignments, scheduling, and coordinating product movements to customers, vendors, and distribution centers through the efficient use and management of company equipment, fleet, and drivers.
- Adhere to all guaranteed inbound product movements, such as inbound vendor purchase orders for both Dot Foods and internal company transfers
- Assist in the coordination of product transfer to other distribution centers
- Provide assistance with customs paperwork for cross boarder (US-Canada) freight movements
- Supervise the completion of fleet maintenance and record keeping
- Perform specific duties in measuring and reporting driver payroll, service levels, fleet performance, etc.
- Leads continuous improvement efforts while applying lean thinking and tools to eliminate waste.
- Schedule appointments with customers via phone, email, or web-based formats
- Communicate with drivers on schedules and work assignments
- Work with multiple departments and manage a diverse and hectic workload
- Focuses on the distribution center DTI service levels, miles per cwt, turnover, and safety frequency rate.
Role Specifics:
- Schedule: Full-Time; Monday - Friday
- Travel: Occasional overnight travel required for company meetings, trainings, and planning events. Must have ability to travel to the United States and travel independently as needed, without restriction by all modes of transportation, including car, plane, or train

YOUR ROLE:Directs and coordinates all transportation activities out of the Ingersoll, Ontario and Calgary, Alberta distribution centers. Responsible for developing and maintaining processes to accomplish company goals in the most cost effective and efficient manner
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Addresses all vendor and customer (both internal and external) challenges.
- Recruits, hires, trains, and manages all personnel in Ingersoll related to managers, dispatch, and drivers.
- Works with the HR Manager in safety opportunities, Workers’ Compensation, benefits, discipline, and quality training for all Dot Transportation Inc (DTI) employees.
- Contains costs through effective routing of customer orders and management of inbound freight by the dispatching staff.
- Maintains a safe working environment for all DTI employees, as well as compliance with all OSHA and DOT regulations.
- Prepares and performs budget responsibilities for capital, target, operating and payroll budgets for the transportation area of the distribution center.
- Focuses on the distribution center DTI service levels, miles per cwt, turnover, and safety frequency rate.
- Leads continuous improvement efforts while applying lean thinking and tools to eliminate waste.
ROLE SPECIFICS
- Supervise members of the DTI personnel in our Ingersoll & Calgary distribution centres

Your Role: A trailer spotter / yard jockey at Dot Transportation is responsible for safely and efficiently spotting trailers on the yard or at the dock door per instructions from the operations clerks.
- Safely and efficiently drives trailers between pads, doors and buildings on a timely basis.
- Slides tandems effectively to meet state bridge laws.
- Accurately weighs loaded trailers.
- Inspects spotter tractor, performs basic maintenance and fueling, and reports equipment problems.
- Checks refrigerator unit operations to ensure adequate product and temperature integrity.
- Perform lot and /or yard checks
- Applies lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position.
- Transfer trailers between Ingersoll and the DOT Terminal yard in the GTA as needed.
Role Specifics:
- Schedule– Full-time – Specific schedule TBD
- Work Environment - Temperature extremes (summer and winter conditions) working in both indoor and outdoor weather conditions.
